You can only use that random Nightmare Sigil in that specified Nightmare Dungeon. Each Nightmare Sigil has a random inscription that informs you the Nightmare Dungeon name, its location, its dungeon affixes, and how many revives are allowed. There is a chance to loot a Nightmare Sigil within the Tree of Whispers cache, which give players the opportunity to enter a Nightmare Dungeon. Once you have completed the Tree of Whispers objectives, you may choose your type of cache reward. You go out into the world of Sanctuary to complete a variety of activities: including Events, Raid Bosses, Helltides, Daily Side Quests, Dungeons, etc. The Tree of Whispers is a system you might compare with Diablo III Bounties. Nightmare Sigls may be obtained primarily by completing Tree of Whispers objectives and as drops in Nightmare Dungeons. Nightmare Dungeons are unlocked on World Tier 3: Nightmare Difficulty at Level 50, but the option to switch to World Tier 3 is gated by a a requirement: Complete the World Tier 2: Veteran Difficulty Capstone Dungeon: Cathedral of Light, which is located in northern portion of Kyovashad.
